The Arlington by Best Barns provides plenty of room for your storage needs. The Arlington comes with sliding doors, all windows shown and walk-in side door. The interior has high side walls which allows for adding shelves for organizing your tools and boxes. The roomy loft with it's 4'-3" headroom gives you space for all those where to put it items.

Picture depicts the 12'x20' size for this model. Optionally, you may upgrade the wood pocket doors to french doors.

Best Barns are constructed from the best quality materials available. Should there be any subpar of damaged material just let us know and we'll provide replacements.

General

Once you receive your new building begin by unpacking the pre-cut framing, doors and hardware. You will also receive a detailed manual with step by step instructions. Each step is explained with clear instructions and detailed line art and has been developed with the novice builder in mind.

All required hardware including door hinges, latch, nails, hurricane hangers, glue for gussets and detailed instruction manual. Shingles and roof edge provided by owner.

Siding

Primed 3/8" wood siding, with vertical grooves, creates an attractive plank look.

Smart Panel, manufactured by Lousiana-Pacific, creates the visual beauty of real wood with the strength and durability of an engineered product.

The siding is made from wood strands, pressed into a resin saturated substrate, superior to plywood. A cedar texture is embossed into the substrate, free from knot holes and patches. Other features include:

  • Primed, ready for paint color of your choice. Latex acrylic paint recommended.
  • Treated with Composibor (from U.S. Borax) prevents fungal decay and insect damage.
  • Backed with a 50 year limited warranty.

Loft

Arlington Loft

The Arlington's unique truss design provides a 2nd floor loft for additional storage space. During construction you choose the size and location of access to the loft.

Shed Kit Single Hung Window

Single hung aluminum 18" x 36" windows provide light and ventilation. Lockable frames are durable and easy to operate. Screens limit birds and insects. Decorative raised panel shutters are included.


One (1) Gable Windwow with Sunburst included

Included is a single gable window with sunburst window to provide more light and venting for the second floor loft area.

Shed Kit Single Hung Window

Single hung aluminum 18" x 24" windows with decorative sunburst top provide added appeal, light and ventalation. Lockable frames are durable and easy to operate. Screens limit birds and insects.

Doors

The Arlington comes standard with a set of wood pocket doors with crossbuck design located on the 12' wall. Pocket doors retract out of the way for easy entry. No swinging doors to get in the way of the entryway. The pocket door design provides smooth opening and keeps the weather out when closed and out of sight when open.

Optionally you may choose to 15 lite French doors or no doors at all on the 12' side.

Arlington Wood Pocket Door

Primed wood siding installed over a 2x4 frame for extra strength. Unfinished white pine trim is installed over siding. Doors are shipped ready to install on a heavy duty aluminum track. Galvanized door sill and lockable door latch are included.

Door opening is 5'-5" x 6'-6"

Optional 15-Lite French Door Upgrade
Arlington French Door

15 lite French Doors. Door opening is 6’-0” × 6’-9”. Doors are 15 lite steel entry doors, pre-hung in a wood jamb with brickmold trim. Included are weather-stripping, aluminum threshold and lockset. Doors are in-swing type.

Here are a series of images of the Arlington from one of our customers. She and her husband we kind enough to forward them after completing the shed kit. Please note that the customer elected to raise the walls minus siding attached and apply when erected. Instructions call for siding to be applied before standing walls up and MUST be applied before gable ends and trusses are placed.
