The perfect DIY all wood barn kit.
Not a pole building, built like your house with wall studs 16" on center. The Roanoke can easily be used for a barn, workshop or utilize the building for storage. Our 16ft. wide Roanoke provides two floors of unobstructed storage. High side wall on lower level with clear span full loft for bonus room above. Available in 20ft., 24ft., 28ft., and 32ft. lengths the Rooanoke offers up to 1,024 sq. ft. of space. Choose the size that is appropriate for you particular needs. Included are 8ft. wide x 7ft. high barn doors with crossbuck design and loft doors that can functional or decorative. Other entry doors can be installed during construction as well as windows to suit your needs. These items are purchased separately. Stairs are also optionally purchased and can be installed on either of the corners opposite the barn doors. General
Assembly Steps

2x6 roof trusses are shipped pre-cut for precise field assembly. Engineered to withstand high wind loads of 140 mph 3 second gust and heavy snow loads of 30 lbs. psf. Trusses provide clear span with a generous 7ft. 1in. headroom in the center. |

Siding
Primed 3/8" wood siding, with vertical grooves, creates an attractive plank look.
Smart Panel, manufactured by Lousiana-Pacific, creates the visual beauty of real wood with the strength and durability of an engineered product.
The siding is made from wood strands, pressed into a resin saturated substrate, superior to plywood. A cedar texture is embossed into the substrate, free from knot holes and patches. Other features include:
- Primed, ready for paint color of your choice. Latex acrylic paint recommended.
- Treated with Composibor (from U.S. Borax) prevents fungal decay and insect damage.
- Backed with a 50 year limited warranty.
Loft
The Roanoke has a clear span 2nd floor loft for additional storage. The headroom is 7ft. 1in. giving you plenty of room for an office or shelves or studio.
3/4" Structurwood decking over LVL (laminated beams) and 2x8 floor joists increase floor strength. A full loft floor enables you to assemble, then erect 2x6 roof trusses and roof on the loft platform. Order the optional stair package for access to the loft area.
Elevation
Windows
Optional single hung windows with screens & decorative wood shutters.
Single hung windows 18" x 36" aluminum windows provide light and ventilation. Lockable frames are durable and easy to operate. Screens limit birds and insects. Decorative wood shutters are pre-assembled.
Doors
A large 8ft. wide x 7in. high barn door provides easy access and a traditional barn style look.
An optional walk-in entry door gives better access:
- Pre-hung 9-lite walk-in door includes aluminum threshold and lockset
- Windowless pre-hung 6-panel steel walk-in door also includes threshold and lockset
Stairs
Don't forget to add the optional stair package for easy access to the 2nd floor loft.
